AAF Members Training

AAF Recruitment Process

Upon applying for the Australian Armed Forces, an applicant will go through two simple stages:

  1. Applicant Review Process and Interview
  2. Basic Training

If an applicant is deemed suitable for the AAF, the applicant will be contacted by a member of the AAF leadership and a time for an interview organised.

After being interviewed, the applicant, if successful, will be signed onto the official AAF ORDBAT as a recruit, and begin the training process (not covered in this document). They will append the tags “AAFR” to the end of the name, signifying their rank as a recruit in the AAF.

AAF Applicant Review Process

This will consist of an interview with members of the AAF leadership group. A senior AAF leader must be present and in charge of the interview process. Two members must be present, maximum three. If anyone has personal ties with the recruit, they can sit in on the interview, but may not lead the interview. The interview is nothing to be worried about, the AAF leadership will just run through your application and make sure you will fit in with what AAF is all about. :)

Applicant Requirements

The ultimate goal of the AAF clan is to provide a mature and fun environment for realistic tactical combat simulation. Therefore, we only offer places to applicants that are deemed suitable for such an environment.

As a general guide we look for applicants who are over 16, however, younger applicants may apply given they reach maturity standards.
